Volunteer Guide

A quick-start guide for anyone helping run a karaoke room. No technical knowledge required.

Get Your Invite

The event organizer will send you an invite link. Click it to create your volunteer account. You will need your name, email, and a password.

Open the Dashboard

Sign in at karaokeq.org/admin/login, then navigate to your event. You will see a list of rooms.

Find Your Room

Click on the room you have been assigned to manage. Each room has its own queue that updates in real time.

Run the Queue

You have two buttons:

  • Done — The singer finished their song. The next person in line is automatically promoted.
  • No Show — The singer did not show up. They are moved to a separate list and the next person is promoted.

That is it. Two buttons. The system handles everything else.

Tips

  • Keep things moving. If someone does not show up within a minute, mark them as No Show.
  • No-show singers are moved to a separate list. They can be restored if they come back.
  • Singers receive an SMS when they are getting close to their turn, so they should be nearby when called.
  • The queue updates in real time. You do not need to refresh the page.
